Big Lottery grant for Largs Academy PTA

Well done to Largs Academy PTA which has been awarded £2,000 from the Big Lottery Fund 2014.

The academy will use the grant to provide training in hill-walking, navigation and mapping for pupils, staff and parents.

This will enable them to set-up a permanent walking group at the school to take the young people out into the hills in North Ayrshire.

The cash will fund a walking group leader residential course, walking group leader staff assessment and training for 80 young people in navigation and mapping.
