Largs Gardens Open to The Public
For the first time five members of Largs Gardening club are opening their gardens, to the public on Sunday 27th June 1.30pm till 5pm. All the proceeds raised go to charities. Tickets and maps detailing the gardens can be bought from Mackerston Place (opposite the Putting Green) Two town gardens and three Glen gardens: A very pretty cottage garden full of colour, planted with traditional plants and climbers: a surprising front garden to inspire you, with a rill running down to a pond with lots of plants, shrubs and grasses. A trio of glen gardens one to encourage the wildlife, with a pond full of tadpoles, with dragonflies, rushes, water lillies and grasses and a mini orchard, and a plant stall; a peaceful, sensual garden with perfumed and tactile plants adjacent to the burn, refreshments in this garden; lastly a garden packed with different layers of plants, shrubs and trees, created over the years by its plantswoman owner.
