Largs has received a top prize in the prestigious 2009 Beautiful Scotland awards, being presented with a silver gilt medal in the 'Coastal Resort' category at the ceremony held at Aberdeen's Beach Ballroom.
Keith Jackson, Chairman of the Beautiful Scotland Advisory Group, speaking at the awards ceremony said: "I never fail to be impressed by the work done by the local authorities and communities in terms of addressing the judging criteria laid down by Beautiful Scotland, and this year was no exception."
Congratulations to all of us in Largs and everyone who worked very hard to get the town ready and impress the judges.
