On Friday 19th June Largs Thistle FC hold their Player of the Year evening at The Willowbank Hotel. Prior to that, the Provost of North Ayrshire Council, Councillor Robert Rae will host a small reception for players, management and committee to celebrate the team winning the Stagecoach Superleague First Division championship.
Largs Thistle was established in 1890 and have accumulated a number of honours down the years. The important achievement of the 2008/09 season is that winning the First Division Championship means promotion to the premiership for the first time in their history.
Douglas Bennie, President of Largs Thistle is extremely happy with what the Club has done and plainly the hope is that their good form continues in the Premiership.
