Lifeboat crew called to rescue man after Largs pier fall
6 July, 2012The crew of the Largs RNLI Lifeboat have rescued a man from the water close to the pier.
The call came at 8.12pm on Thursday 5th July when the Largs RNLI Lifeboat R A Wilson and her volunteer crew were contacted by the Clyde Coastguard after a report of a person in the water close to the Pier.
The lifeboat was on scene within three minutes and a male was lifted from the water into the lifeboat and taken to the nearby ferry slip where an ambulance was waiting. The man was transferred to the ambulance and taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital Greenock.
