Lotto win- good for Largs?

Well the lotto win has certainly put our town on the map!

Colin and Chris Weir won the total of £161,653,000 earlier this month.

Friends and neighbours have testified that the Weirs are a lovely couple who really deserved the win.

The lottery win may even boost the economic fortunes of our town. Lots of press have been attracted here to cover the story- surely they would have needed accomodation.

Also, Nardinis started selling a Euromillions sundae special for £5.95.

The McColl's that sold the winning ticket is likely to receive a sales boost- more people will buy tickets there in the hope the luck runs off on them.

But others say that so much money can also be a curse. Some have been concerned about so much news coverage.

But what do you think- overall, was the win lucky for Largs?

Good to see Nardini's are cashing in on something. Yes, we're doing a Euromillions PottersPool tournament on a Thursday night at 9.30pm. Yes, you don't win anything to do with EuroMillions, you win a £100, but it's a special Euromillions competition all the same. lol
