Planning Forums - Largs residents invited to give opinion on a report of the main issues facing North Ayrshire
11 Feb 2010The Council is drafting up a new Local Development Plan (LDP), setting out which areas can be regenerated and which should be protected from development over the next two decades.
The new plan's vision is to encourage improvement in the area by creating more jobs, providing an attractive place in which to live and work, and boosting tourism.
As part of the process, members of the public are being encouraged to give their opinions on a report of the main issues facing North Ayrshire.
The Main Issues Report (MIR), which sets the scene for the new LDP, outlines five key areas of change and sets out options to respond to them. This includes new housing, the future of our town centres and dealing with our vacant/derelict industrial land.

I feel sure the above meeting was well attended by many good people of Largs and as a Skelmorlie resident, one of many who get limited feedback on matters local, I would be forever grateful should someone give a report underlining matters which affect the Skelmorlie area. (If indeed Skelmorlie was mentioned)
