Potters Pool - Season 14 - Winter 2010
The Potters Pool Champion for 2009 was declared at the start of the year at Potters. The title went to Jim McCorkell. Qualification for the finals night in January was based on winning the regular Thursday night Pool competition. If you didn't win the competition in 2009, you didn't play in the Champions Cup!! Jim was the last man standing and received the superb Potters Champion trophy from Dug Cruickshank.
Further to this, there are several tournaments played on a season basis, 4 times a year. Individual trophies, and Team trophies are presented.
Individual Trophy's
The Seasonal Champion for Winter 2010 goes to Andy Hill, who based on a points system was the most successful player in the Thursday night competiton that season. It was Andy's third title in a row, but is still a fair distance off John "Slim" Miller's record of 7 times. He is shown holding the 14 times engraved trophy.
Team Competitions
Team League
Also in parellel to the Thursday night PottersPool competition is a Team League. This comprises several 4 man teams to see who can obtain the most points collectively throughout the season. The Team with the most points wins the league over the season, and this seasons winners were Team Kearney winning £200 and the converted shield.
Team Cup
At the end of every season the same teams that contested the Team League contested the Team Cup in the end of season finale on a Sunday night. As well as being a major night of knock-out team pool competition resulting the eventually winners of the Cup, it is also the presentation night for all winners over the Season. At this presentation night, Team Kennedy are shown holding the Team Cup that they won when beating Team Hill in the final 4-2 on the night. The team also won £200 in prize money.

The six 4-man teams contesting this season are all individual friends making their own team, and we welcome new additions to this Team challenge starting in the Summer season (mid-May)
