SEPA issue flood alert for Largs

A flood alert has been issued for Largs.

SEPA announced this warning on Wednesday, January 25:

This flood alert is for coastal flooding on the Firth of Clyde. 

Due to a combination of high tides and strong winds there is a risk of flooding from waves and spray to low lying areas on the Firth of Clyde on Wednesday afternoon.

The greatest risk is around the time of high tide, which is at 2 pm.

Particularly at risk are low lying areas in and around Largs.

Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
