SEPA issue flood warning for Largs
A flood warning has been issued for Largs by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
The whole of Ayrshire and Arran is on flood alert, with the likelihood of coastal flooding due to a combination of high surge, wind and waves.
At risk are exposed low lying coastal areas, specifically the sea front and Forth Street.
High water is expected at 2pm today (Tuesday, December 13), with the effect of waves and spray likely to be significant along exposed coastal roads.
The risk is likely to continue into tomorrow.
The public are advised to take care and to avoid areas at risk where possible.
SEPA continue to monitor the situation and urge the public to be vigilant and take actions to protect themselves and their property.
